Install Fonts

If you enable these settings, fonts installed through MainType will be copied to Windows fonts folder.

Advanced

When you try to install or load a font while a similar font is already active, you will see a message that the operation failed. With the smart feature activated, MainType first tries to uninstall/ unload the active font and then tries to install/ load the font you want to activate. When you try to uninstall or unload a font while the smart setting is enabled, MainType will uninstall/ unload the active font. Use these settings with great care. In case you accidentally uninstalled a font, you might want to check the Backup folder (View -> Browse -> Backup Folder).

Browse Fonts

On startup, immediately restores the list of fonts in the browse folder. When the browse folder contains a lot of fonts, this can take some time. By default this setting is disabled.

Fonts Operation

When you install, uninstall, load, unload, move, copy or delete fonts, a font operation window will pop up, showing you the progress of your initiated font operation. When you no longer wish to keep closing that window, manually, after a successful font operation, enable this setting.
