April 23, 2008 - Scanahand 1.0 released.
Today we've released Scanahand version 1.0, a Windows program that makes it easy for each member of the family to create custom, hand-written fonts. Scanahand lets you quickly create a font, install it in Windows in seconds, and use it in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and every Windows program that you own. You can type notes and cards in your favorite word processing software, and print them in your own handwriting.
Scanahand runs under Windows Vista/XP/2003/2000/NT4/Me/98/95, costs $29(US) for a single-user license of the Basic Edition, and may be ordered securely online from http://www.high-logic.com/. The Premium Edition, with multi-page template support, will be available later this year, and will cost $49(US). Multi-user discounts are available.

Scanahand allows you to generate a font without the need to know all of the technical details involved. All you need is a printer, a scanner, and a black marker or felt-tipped pen. It is also possible to use Scanahand without using a printer and scanner, but then you'll have to draw characters through image processing software. Download Scanahand RC2 from our download page.

July 19, 2007 - FontCreator 5.6 released.
High-Logic has released FontCreator 5.6, a full-featured font editor for Windows that lets you easily create and modify TrueType and OpenType fonts. In addition to enhancing individual characters or entire fonts, you can turn signatures, handwriting, logos, or any images into font characters.

May 16, 2007 - MainType 2.1.1 released.
Today we've released MainType version 2.1.1. As we released version 2.1 only two weeks ago, this is a very minor update. We just couldn't wait for you to take advantage of a new way of installing and uninstalling fonts. With this release the quickest and most convenient way to install or uninstall a single font is to double-click it. Based on the status of the font, MainType will install it or uninstall it.
Because this new version is free for all existing customers of MainType, we encourage all users to download this new release.
