High-Logic, a leader in providing font editing software, today announces the release of MainType version 2.1, a powerful font viewer and font manager for Windows that offers a straightforward and easy-to-use interface to help you maintain your fonts.

Because this new version is free for all existing customers of MainType, we encourage all users to download this new release.

This new release includes several enhancements and new features:

• Type preview text into Font pane drop-down list
• Character zoom popup window
• More predefined font variables
• Use ALT- to insert characters into the Sample pane
• Improved appearance (colors in samples and zoom pane, row striping in the list of fonts)
• After the trial period MainType will continue to run, but in restricted mode
