July 19, 2007 - FontCreator 5.6 released.
High-Logic has released FontCreator 5.6, a full-featured font editor for Windows that lets you easily create and modify TrueType and OpenType fonts. In addition to enhancing individual characters or entire fonts, you can turn signatures, handwriting, logos, or any images into font characters.
This new release includes several enhancements and new features. The most impressive improvements are:
- Improved complete composites (automatically generates outlines for over 2000 glyphs!)
- New and improved transform scripts (for example make a bold version, or add Eastern Europe characters within seconds)

May 16, 2007 - MainType 2.1.1 released.
Today we've released MainType version 2.1.1. As we released version 2.1 only two weeks ago, this is a very minor update. We just couldn't wait for you to take advantage of a new way of installing and uninstalling fonts. With this release the quickest and most convenient way to install or uninstall a single font is to double-click it. Based on the status of the font, MainType will install it or uninstall it.
Because this new version is free for all existing customers of MainType, we encourage all users to download this new release.

The new contour operations (union, intersection, exclusion and knife) greatly simplify and speed up the design process. Other new features include the ability to add selected characters or entire character sets with their mappings, to automatically calculate ascender and descender values and to show comparison glyphs in the glyph edit window.
