Educational Discounts

Students, teachers, schools and non-profit organizations pay half price on any High-Logic product: FontCreator 16 Professional $99, Essentials $25; MainType 13 Professional $39, Standard $25; Scanahand 9 Premium $49, Standard $29. Email us with a copy of your student ID, your school e-mail address, or your organization's registration number, and we will send you a personal discount code. We reply within two business days.

Crossgrades

Switching from a competing font editor (FontLab, Glyphs, RoboFont) or font manager (Suitcase)? You pay half price: FontCreator 16 Professional $99, MainType 13 Professional $39. Email us a receipt or a screenshot of your registration and we will send you a personal discount code.

Multi-Volume Pricing

Volume discounts are applied automatically at checkout: 2–4 licenses 10% off, 5–9 15%, 10–19 20%, 20–49 25%, 50 or more 30%. Volume discounts combine with the education and non-profit price.

Upgrade Protection

If you purchase a perpetual license — also called a lifetime license — for FontCreator, MainType, or Scanahand within six months before a new major release, the new major version is included with your purchase at no additional charge. Outside that window, the upgrade-pricing options on the upgrades page apply. Your perpetual license remains valid for the major version you originally purchased, including free patches, fixes, and minor updates within that version. If you are unsure whether your purchase qualifies, or you own an edition that is no longer offered, please contact support.

License Restrictions

A single-user license may be used by one person and activated on up to three devices (for example, a desktop and a laptop). If purchased by an organization, the license must be assigned to one designated natural person.

Upgrades

Existing customers upgrade at a reduced price. All three products offer edition upgrades — for example FontCreator 16 Essentials to Professional — and owners of an earlier major version can upgrade to the current one. See the upgrades page for current prices.
