The curvature comb is a visual overlay drawn perpendicular to each curve. Each hair's length is proportional to the local curvature, so the comb makes the shape of a curve immediately legible: smooth curves produce evenly graded hair lengths, while uneven or kinked curves stand out as abrupt changes.

Reading the Comb

A clean curve has hairs that grow and shrink gradually. A sudden jump in hair length flags an inflection or a discontinuity. Two adjacent curve segments that should join smoothly should produce a comb that flows across the join without a step.

Toggling the Display

The comb is a display-only overlay; turning it on or off does not change the outline. Toggle it from the View menu.
