FontCreator 16 is available as a perpetual license or as an annual subscription. Either license unlocks every feature of FontCreator — there are no separate Home, Standard, or Professional editions.
Perpetual License (also called Lifetime License)
A one-time purchase. A perpetual license entitles you to:
•All features of FontCreator.
•All patches and minor updates within the major version you purchased.
•Direct support from the developers.
When a future major version is released, you can continue using your existing perpetual license indefinitely or purchase the upgrade to the new major version.
Subscription
Recurring billing on a monthly or yearly basis. An active subscription entitles you to:
•All features of FontCreator.
•All updates released during the active subscription period, including transitions to new major versions.
•Direct support from the developers.
Free Trial
On first launch, you can request a free trial from within FontCreator. During the trial you have full access to every feature. When the trial ends, purchase a perpetual license or start a subscription to keep using FontCreator.

After ordering you will receive a confirmation email containing your activation details.
Activation
•Open FontCreator.
•When prompted, enter the activation code from the confirmation email.
•The application contacts the licensing server to activate.
Once activated, every feature is immediately available. An internet connection is required for the initial activation and for periodic license verification, which the application performs at reasonable intervals to confirm the license remains valid.
Offline Activation (Perpetual Licenses)
If you need to use FontCreator on a computer without internet access, contact High-Logic support to request an offline license file. After verifying your purchase, support will issue a license file that you can import into FontCreator from the activation dialog. Once imported, FontCreator runs on the activated device without requiring a network connection, and no periodic verification is performed.
Offline activation is available for perpetual licenses only.
Devices
A single-user license — perpetual or subscription — may be used by one person and installed on up to two computers (used only by that same person). Multi-user and team licenses are available — see the High-Logic website for details.
If Your Subscription Expires
Once a subscription expires, FontCreator can no longer be launched. Renew to restore access, or purchase a perpetual license to continue using FontCreator without recurring billing. Your projects and exported fonts remain on disk and are unaffected; only the application itself requires an active license to run.
