The Masters and Layers panel exposes its operations through a toolbar (at the top on Windows, at the bottom on macOS) and through a right-click context menu. The available actions adapt to the row kind under the cursor or selection.
Toolbar Buttons
•Add — split button with a submenu: Add Layer (a list of the font's masters), Reference Artwork, Helper Layer, Color Member.
•Delete — removes the selected row.
•Edit Across Layers — toggle. When on, supported edits (delete points, transform, etc.) apply to every compatible layer at once. Disable it to scope edits to the active layer only.
•Show Compatibility — split button. Toggles the compatibility indicators on each master row.
•Make Compatible — split button. Attempts to fix common compatibility issues automatically (matching start points, contour direction, mixed-up contour and member ordering).
•Up / Down — reorder the selected row.
•Re-interpolate — re-derive an interpolated layer's contents from its neighbouring masters.
Context Menu
The right-click context menu mirrors the toolbar with a few extras that are scoped to the row under the cursor: Duplicate, Bring to Front, Bring to Back, Re-interpolate Position, and (on smart-component glyphs) Add Smart Layer.
