Upgrade Protection

If you purchase a perpetual license for FontCreator, MainType, or Scanahand within six months before a new major release, the new major version is included with your purchase at no additional charge. Outside that window, the upgrade-pricing options on the upgrades page apply. Your perpetual license remains valid for the major version you originally purchased, including free patches, fixes, and minor updates within that version.

License Restrictions

A single-user license may be used by one person and activated on up to two devices (for example, a desktop and a laptop). If purchased by an organization, the license must be assigned to one named user.

Upgrades

MainType and Scanahand customers can upgrade to a more advanced edition at any time. The upgrade price equals the difference between the editions. FontCreator perpetual customers can upgrade to a new major version when one is released. See the upgrades page for current upgrade prices.
